All at GHK would like to congratulate Davie Whyte on his marriage to the lovely Rachel.

Hopefully this happy day will not stop Davie displaying his silky skills at the football tournament detailed below!


On Saturday 3rd July we are having a social 5 aside football tournament at Old Anniesland. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! It is a mixed tournament with squads a maximum of 7, £15 per team entry and at least 1 female must be on the pitch at all times. We have already had confirmation from around 10 teams including an all girls team from Cartha! Even if you are not in a team you can pay £3 and be put into a select team and enjoy the festivities. There will be plenty games and a number of prizes awarded for various competitions including GHK World Champions for the overall winners as well as consolation tournaments and spot prizes.

It will be run in a similar vein to the real World Cup and post tournament the last 2 quarter finals will be shown live in the clubhouse at OA where everyone can retire and have a beer or 3. In addition the bar will be open all day and there will of course be a sizzling BBQ, supplemented by some of Pete's famous vodka jellies. Attached is the tournament poster and entry form. As mentioned before it is a mixed social occasion and everyone is welcome. The more the merrier!
