Now that we seem to have actual rugby back on the agenda after an extraordinarily long weather break I thought I might just get some focus back on some issues.
At the start of the season it was agreed that all players representing GHK would adopt a dress code on match days. This was to be a light blue shirt, club tie and trousers of the non-jeans variety. For home games it is not so important to arrive in this attire as most players make their way directly to the dressing rooms, however, it is important that standards are maintained after the game and at all times for away fixtures. If anyone needs a tie see me or Henry Gray and we will be happy to supply for the knockdown price of £10.
This coming Saturday the 1st XV are away to Marr and the 2nd XV at home to Greenock and I expect all players to be smartly turned out - it does make a difference. If you don't fancy a trip to sunny Troon go out to OA and cheer on the mighty 2s on their quest for further promotional glory.
Continuing the theme of standards it is not acceptable for players to sport non GHK attire on the touchlines during or before games and I would direct you to the Merchandise section of this web site to get GHK badged track kit if you wish. We also have a supply of black track suits if required for match days.
I would also like to ask you all to continue to socialise with the opposition after matches and ensure that Old Anniesland's long established and well deserved reputation for hospitality is maintained.
Both teams are enjoying a successful season and we need to keep the momentum going all the way. This is your club - don't forget it.
Thanks
The Pres
