A warm welcome awaits all players, members (old and new) and visitors to Old Anniesland, the home of GHK RFC. Whether you and your family are just starting out at mini rugby, progressing through midi/junior level or keen to play (or watch) a highly attractive brand of senior rugby, our top quality coaches and extensive facilities cater for all.

 

 

Old Anniesland boasts 5 pitches (3 floodlit) an Astroturf training pitch and the magnificent Jimmie Ireland Stand in which you will find full gym facilities. Our senior teams have a number of dedicated coaches to look after general and specific areas of rugby fitness and skills, led by Head Coach Kenny Hamilton, including Rob Holdsworth, Liam McIntyre, Charlie Dunlop, Mike Gribben, Henry Gray, Glenn Woolard , John Hodgkinson and Drew Waddell.

 

Last season was a hugely successful one for the club.  Coming off the back of a never to be forgotten tour to Colorado, our 1st XV went through the entire West Regional League Division One programme unbeaten, winning 17 matches and drawing the other.  Incredibly, this wasn’t quite enough to win the league as Marr, with whom we had two closely fought and hard won fixtures, managed to accrue more four-try bonus points than ourselves, resulting in both teams finishing level on points with Marr’s superior points differential edging the title.  

 

We are very much looking forward to playing our part in what is sure to be a very competitive league this season and hope that many of you reading this will find their way to Old Anniesland to see our teams in action.
